The ICAROS Lightning is moving into the practice area of the new Peterka Arena in Dorfen
Last Saturday, the brand-new Peterka Arena in Dorfen was officially opened by NHL pro JJ Peterka and his father Dennis.

The modern ice arena sets new standards for the region—and we are thrilled that our ICAROS Lightning is now an integral part of the high-tech training facility. At the opening, the many guests were able to test the system right on site and were impressed by the technology.
For us, this deployment is a great validation and underscores the growing importance of our systems in elite sports.
The arrival at the Peterka Arena also builds the perfect bridge to our current scientific projects. A study in collaboration with UCLA recently investigated how a short warm-up on the ICAROS Lightning optimizes depth perception and joint stability in the shoulder—one of the joints most prone to injury in ice hockey and competitive sports.
Even an short training on the system is sufficient to significantly improve joint perception during highly dynamic movement phases.
These very benefits are now enhancing daily training in Dorfen. By training on the ICAROS Lightning, hockey players can boost their core stability, coordination, and reaction speed in record time—for peak performance on the ice and effective injury prevention.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Peterka Arena team for their trust and the fantastic response on opening day. We are proud to actively shape the future of athletic training in professional sports!
