Use of our Online Shop
Description and scope of data processing
On our website we offer the possibility to register for access to our ICAROS Online Shop by providing personal data. Registration can be carried out by companies and private individuals. The data collected during registration is transmitted securely to us via SSL encryption and stored as inventory data in our ERP system.
Mandatory fields for registration:
- Private customer or business customer
- Title
- First and last name
- Email address
- Password
- Address (street, house number, postal code, city, country)
- If applicable: company / department
Optional: delivery address
A different delivery address can be specified.
The following data is also stored when placing an order:
- IP address of the user
- Date and time of the order
- Ordered goods or services
- Invoice data
- Payment data
After successful registration, you can access your online account at any time.

Legal basis for data processing
Private customers: Registration serves the fulfilment of a purchase contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Business customers: The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
Contact form: The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing the enquiry).
Postal advertising: The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Recital 47 GDPR, which considers direct marketing as a legitimate interest.
Purpose of data processing
Registration is required for the fulfilment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, insofar as the user wishes to place their order via the online shop.
Duration of storage
Data transferred to the ERP system is stored in accordance with applicable retention periods. Long-term obligations such as warranty claims may require longer storage.
Possibility of objection and removal
You have the option of cancelling your registration in the online shop at any time. By deleting the online account, your registration and all data collected during registration will be deleted from the online system.
