Purpose of the data processing
If you provide salutation and name, we use these to personalise our communication. The other data stored as part of the registration process serve to verify the consent given and to prevent misuse of the services or the e-mail address used.
The personal data collected via tracking pixels is evaluated to optimise newsletter dispatch and to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to your interests.
Transfer of data to a third country
Our newsletter is sent via a service provider in the USA, with whom we have concluded a controller processor agreement. The company offers excellent technical features and has very well secured IT systems. The transfer of e-mail addresses to the company is based on the EU standard contract clauses which the company has undertaken to comply with.
Note on data processing in the USA:
According to the case law of the European Court of Justice (judgement of 16.07.2020, ref.: C-311/18 ("Schrems II")) there is no adequate level of data protection in the USA. There is a risk that your data may be processed by U.S. authorities, for control and monitoring purposes, possibly without the possibility of legal recourse.
